This wine is aged in American oak barrels for 24 months and then for an extended period in bottle. Bright red wine with garnet rim, turning to brick, showing its extended ageing in barrels and bottle. Complex aromas of mature dark fruit, vanilla and cinnamon spice with mineral notes. Rich morello cherry and plum flavours are accented by mint, orange peel and sassafras notes in this expressive red, which has soft tannins, juicy acidity and smoky finish.

The colour is coppery amber and the nose offers heady spice aromas of nutmeg, cardamom, and vanilla, rounded out with caramel and citrus notes. On the palate the taste is warm and buttery with butterscotch notes and has a long, smooth cognac finish.

Brilliant ruby colour. Aromas of dark cherry, cardamom, raspberry, red tea notes and a swirl of red licorice. This medium bodied wine is in good balance with moderate and refined tannins, a light snap of acidity, all backed by a kirsch note on the juicy finish.

This is another typical aspect of this wine which has evolved during its time in the barrel and the bottle. Smooth mouth-feel, with sweet, polished tannins. Ruby red with a bright and deep, golden hue on the rim. Complex nose, on the fruit side, it reveals the sum of the sensations contributed by the grape varieties used in its blend: cherry, black plum, ripe juicy blackberries. The time spent in the cask brings cloves, pepper, vanilla and coconut, enriched by the aromas which evolve during the time in the bottle. Smooth balanced mouth-feel, elegant and full, with a long, lingering finish.

The 2018 Cap De Faugeres is composed of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine opens with intense scents of preserved plums, kirsch, chocolate and menthol with hints of wood smoke and spices. The palate has a velvety texture with plenty of red fruit character.

Made from Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino), its pale color is pleasing to the eye. Very pale pink and perfumed. Focused fruit and notably crisp with a fine dry finish.

The 2018 Belle-Vue includes five grapes in the blend for the first time. 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Carménère. Deep garnet - purple colour. This Haut-Medoc blend is comprised of 48% Cabernet sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet franc, and 1%, Carmenere. Maturation has taken place in oak barrels (30% new barrels) for 14-16 months. A deep purple colour, velvety and elegant tannins, floral and spicy notes.

This Castillon blend is comprised of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Opaque purple-black colored, this wine delivers intense scents of prunes, Black Forest cake and ripe, fresh blackberries with hints of Marmite toast, tapenade, damp soil and truffles. On the palate black fruit preserves with a velvety texture.

Medium-bodied, round, lush and forward, with a dusty-textured, chocolate, and plum core of ripe, sweet fruits, polished tannins and a touch of spicy, espresso in the finish.

This cuvée made with about 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc is a blend of different lots reflecting the diversity of all local terroirs: the clay bringing the body, the gravel giving the structure and the chalk ensuring the finesse. The current blend is mainly the 2010 vintage ; the exceptional climatic conditions of this vintage are expressed when tasting the wine which shows a deep intense color, some scents of black fruits (mulberries, cherries) greatly backed up by a lovely integrated tanic structure, this enhancing a long and complex final.

This blend of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre has sweet raspberry and black cherry on the nose, with some herbs, licorice and pepper notes. Great fruit flavours in the mouth complement the herbs, spice and licorice notes. Medium- to full-bodied with sweet tannins leading to a long finish, this is an ideal wine for lamb dishes.

The luxurious wines of Champagne Devaux are expertly crafted with a balance between character and elegance, combining aromatic complexity with great finesse. Harvest occurs early in the morning and the fruit is then immediately pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel cuves. A low temperature is kept while the wine is raised on fine lees in the cuve for eleven months and then bottled in September. The honey & white acacia blossom perfume is a rare treat. Grapes of Garnacha from small plots with low yields are hand-picked and fermented separately in small vats, then transferred into French oak barrels to stay for 6 months to complete its ageing procedure.
