Bright, gold colour. On the nose, the zest of sun - ripened fruits drizzled by the sea. On the palate, salted honeycomb with zingy spiced cocoa and the tang of blood orange.

On the palate there is a noticeable delicacy and softness in texture and style. The balance of flavour is superb as the smoke wraps loosely around the sweetness drawn from deep within the oak, Coconut, vanilla custard, lemon honey combines with smoked oysters and sun baked salty sand. The finish is smoky but also the soft sweetness of fudge and malted barley, orange, mango and Banoffee pie hinting of the depth and quality of the oak. The many layers interchange on each sip.

With this edition of Black Art, inspiration was taken from the groundwork done in creating the first editions of this series, where there was a relentless pursuit to layer flavour.

Aged 29 years. Orange barley sugars, ginger nut biscuits and lemon meringue pie are followed by sweet apricot jam and marzipan. The toasted oak brings smooth chocolate and vanilla notes. Beautifully complemented with syrupy fruit, raisins, plum and melon. Over time, iodine and a hint of coconut come through, with a delicate oak spices of warming ginger and cinnamon. A velvet texture, the depth and balance of this single malt glides across the palate.

The oak cradles the soft fruit of distillation with a perfect balance and harmony. The delicate sweetness and luscious texture are like velvet on the palate. The balance of those sweet ripe stoned fruit flavours with the vanilla, caramel and brown sugar notes of the oak is perfect, this vintage of Islay barley is bottled at just the right moment to capture the DNA of our island and the whisky we distil on its shores. Add a touch of water and watch as the natural oils react in the glass releasing wonderful floral notes of hawthorn and heather.

This single malt is malted to a stratospheric 137.3 PPM and matured in the highest quality American oak casks. Initial aromas of sweet nutty smoke, barley sugar and ripe fruit lead way to syrupy apricot, ripe peat, malty vanilla, crème brulee, honey, tablet, coconut, almonds and charred oak. On the palate, dense smoked granola and honeyed lead to smoked apricot jam, barley four, peat embers, burnt heather, gooseberry citrus and sweet Turkish delight. Oak chips, sugared almonds and chocolate limes come toward the finish.

Bright citrus, smoke and a distinct minerality come through on the palate, followed by charred oak and beach bonfire embers. Toffee and creamy vanilla are balanced with the earthy smoke, with bright notes of pear, gooseberry fool and green apple simultaneously adding brightness and depth. Roasted coffee, hints of clove and nutmeg begin to come to the fore, with a gentle hint of heather honey.

The barley harvest for this 2013 vintage was raised on Islay by seven Islay farming partners. This single malt has matured in ex-American and ex-wine casks hailing from the Pessac-Léognan region of France. The first taste is a wondrous thing; all at once, the salinity, the fruit, the light peat smoke, and the sweet oak show their presence in a whirl of complexity to entice you. The aging from carefully selected oak allows a subtle almond note to combine with coconut, caramel, vanilla, and muscovado sugar. The peat smoke in this whisky is as beautifully balanced as ever, weaving through the components, highlighting them but not dominating. A dram that is gentle on the palate yet has a tremendous depth of flavour.

Made from 100% Scottish barley, triple distilled, and then matured for its entire life by the shores of Lochindaal in premium American oak; it is a testament to the quality our ingredients. Smooth as pebbles in a pool. It’s clean, fresh and lively with both the oak and the grain in perfect harmony.

This Islay whisky shows initial aromas of sweet pear drops, vanilla fudge, chocolate and marzipan, on the palate the oak and malt notes overlap each other with toasted rye bread, buttery popcorn, fresh oak, vanilla fudge and smooth caramel. The organic barley seems to give more fruit from the distillation and more viscous texture which is a joy to the olfactory senses.

Mellow aromas on the nose begin a mineral and maritime theme, then become sweeter and rounder, their golden melody anchored by an earthy bass note. Smooth and sure, the vanilla-sweet, rich and powerful taste is soon shaped by a hint of saltiness and a soaring peppery solo that reaches its smooth crescendo in the long, spicy finish.

Aromas of sea spray, iodine, cattail reeds and autumn leaves accented by a touch of butterscotch. Smoky and warm in the mouth with echoes of sea spray. A splash of water unleashes waves of butterscotch and sponge toffee character. Long, layered finish.

Following a secret recipe, the steeped ginger is combined with quality ingredients and matured for 8 weeks to release a distinctive flavour. Serve chilled with ice and lemon.

Matured for an initial 9 years in American White Oak ex-Bourbon casks. During the final 3 years the whiskey is transferred to 30 year old Gonzalez Byass Matusalem Oloroso Sherry butts.

Dead Man's Fingers Passion Fruit Rum has sweet tropical passion fruit aroma with hints of mango.

Inspired by our original Spiced Rum from the Rum and Crab Shack in St. Ives, Cornwall, is a rum crafted with the sweet notes of roasted and candied pineapple. We use casks that once contained premium Caribbean rum to finish our 21 Year Old expression. This expression spends four months finishing in Gran Reserva barrels selected by our Malt Master, adding to its distinctive and complex flavour.
