Sanaig, named after an inlet on Islay’s rugged Atlantic cost, is a vatting of Kilchoman matured in both sherry and bourbon barrels. This sherry cask Scotch whisky is matured in a high proportion of oloroso barrels, imparting a balance of dried fruits, dark chocolate and rich peat smoke into the spirit.

100% Australian premium malted barley, a blend of Westminster and Gairdner, brewed and fermented in our family owned brewery and winery for total quality control. The Signature expression shows bright topaz hues on appearance which open a door to orchard fruit profiles, macerated black cherry and biscuit notes balancing the zest of marmalade jam, lingering cocoa and dark-berry flavours.

Colour: Golden Aroma: Distinguished rye spiciness, mingling with mellow oak, above a soft layer of vanilla. Flavour: Cascading pepper from the rye caressingly wrapped in mouth coating oily viscosity and sweet biscuity, cereal, and dried fruit notes.

Islay peat smoke and sea salt on the nose, followed by warming leather notes, stewed rhubarb and a wonderful vanilla sweetness in the mouth, leading to a rich lingering finish.

A welcome introduction of sweet pine complemented by whimsical floral notes of chamomile, sage and soft citrus, rounded out with jammy sloe berries and a hint of winter spice.
