Blackened Whisky started as a collaboration between Master Distiller Dave Pickerell and Metallica, but when Dave passed away in 2018, Master Distiller Rob Dietrich joined the team in 2019 and now oversees the Blackened American Whiskey distilling process. A blend of hand-selected, well-aged North American bourbon & rye whiskeys, uniquely finished in black brandy casks and the earth-shattering music of Metallica. Each batch of whiskey is blasted with it's very own Metallica playlist, curated by the band themselves. Burnt caramel, oak and honey on the nose along with notes of cinnamon, allspice, dark fruit, clove and mint. The finish is long and smooth with a taste profile that is slightly creamy with hints of butterscotch, toffee and maple.

Made from 100% Scottish barley, triple distilled, and then matured for its entire life by the shores of Lochindaal in premium American oak; it is a testament to the quality our ingredients. Smooth as pebbles in a pool. It’s clean, fresh and lively with both the oak and the grain in perfect harmony.

This deep amber whiskey has a complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses. Pleasantly sweet to the taste with notes of brown sugar and spice that give way to oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise. This whiskey finishes long and smooth with serious depth.

Matured for an initial 9 years in American White Oak ex-Bourbon casks. During the final 3 years the whiskey is transferred to 30 year old Gonzalez Byass Matusalem Oloroso Sherry butts.

Nose: Aromatic, toffee, fruit salad, lush nectarine, custard. Floral, apple blossom, honeysuckle. Apple peels, pear, touch of smoke. Palate: Malty. Walnuts steeped in manuka honey with vanilla sponge. Gentle smoke weaves its way through the cereal with a touch of spice. Finish: Long, malty, walnut, almond.

Forty Creek Confederation Oak is the colour of old gold and is a very full bodied whisky. To the nose it is a big whisky with constantly evolving aromas and flavours. Beginning with a maple-raisin-vanilla-fig, layers of praline, banana, butter cream, honeyed nuts, marzipan, spice and orange blossoms. As it lingers, dark dried fruits and anise evolve. On the palate it has a very rich entry; soft, round and dry. Full bodied with vanilla, butter cream and pepper spice which is nicely framed with oak, walnut and smoke. An exceptional finish that has great depth. A long lingering finish with fading spice and white pepper. Excellent balance and vibrant flavour. A whisky to sip and cherish.

Gentleman Jack is charcoal mellowed before going into the barrel. It receives an additional “blessing” when it is charcoal mellowed again after reaching maturity, giving it ultimate smoothness. Gentleman Jack is full-bodied with fruit and spices, and its finish is silky, warm, and pleasant.

Aged in special barrels which expose the whiskey to a greater percent of oak surface. Rich tasting with notes of caramel, oak and spice.

This whiskey has been aged in fire-charred, new American white oak barrels. Aromas and flavours of spice, pepper, citrus, butterscotch and oak.

This limited-edition offering is a nostalgic nod to its beginning over 140 years ago. Initial aromas of oak are followed by vanilla and grain. The tasting note includes: oak, complemented with grain and warm caramel with a long and lingering finish.

Maturation in our handcrafted white oak barrels, the second barrel deeply toasted before a light charring, creates Woodford Reserve Double Oaked - a smooth, full-bodied mix of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spices; a long and creamy finish with lingering hints of honeyed apple.

Five sources of flavour have been customized for this craft bourbon. The first includes mineral rich iron-free water. The second ingredient is a unique grain recipe including corn, malted barley and rye which gives it its feisty spice character. The third is our unique cypress fermenters, the fourth is we distill in our customized copper pot stills, and lastly we mature in our own white oak barrels.
