The best agaves are selected after cultivation and cooked in traditional cone-shaped wood ovens. The wood is lit and volcanic rocks are placed on top of it in a pyramid shape, the oven is covered with cloth and earth and cooked for 3-5 days. Once cooked, the pinas are milled with a stone and kept in a wooden tub for fermentation. 400 Conejos Joven is double distilled and has slight smokiness on the palate.

The aromas are woody, fruity, vanilla and toffee/caramel-centric. On the palate, there is a complex blend of wood, fruit, vanilla, toffee, and caramel. The finish is amazingly long and smooth.

Codigo 1530 uses only fully-matured Blue Weber Agave and Amatitán water from freshwater pools and rainwater, filtered through the volcanic soil of Los Bajos. Aromas of cactus flower, lemon peel, lavender, and earl grey tea. A lush and centered palate opens with fresh green pepper and guava, then tempered by peppery flashes along the edges and in the finish.
