With a meaty nose, reminiscent of a Northern Rhone Syrah with some violets, red cherries and well-integrated oak, Las Tres Filas is a selection of older Mencia vines on poor, stony soils which fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and matured in French and American oak barrels for six months. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh, tasty, supple, slightly salty and pleasant, with a fine texture and good acidity. Very pleasant though better if decanted in advance.
