The distinct character of the Aberfeldy 12 is the result of uniting the Highland's finest natural resources. Created with fresh spring water from the nearby Pitilie Burn, they are truly "Scotch" Scotches, as only Scottish Optic Barley is used. Colour: Full, gold yellow. Nose: Floral, light smoke, nutty, orange zest. Palate: Fresh, hint of sweetness, honey, oak, citrus. Body: Full bodied. Finish: Long, subtle vanilla, soft oily, subtle sweetness.

Good Sherried body with fruity aromas. Very soft and rounded with fruity notes.

Light and zesty with a hint of spice, warming up to what can only be described as 'stick to your teeth' toffee. A long and lingering finish leaving you ready for the next sip.

An explosion of crackling peat sets off millions of flavour explosions on the tongue: peat effervesces with tangy lemon and lime juice, black pepper pops with sizzling cinnamon-spiced toffee. This is followed by a wave of brine infused with smooth buttermilk, ripe bananas and currants. Smoke gradually wells up on the palate bringing a mouthful of warm creamy cappuccino and toasted marshmallows. As the taste lengthens and deepens, dry espresso, liquorice root and tarry smoke develop coating the palate with chewy peat oils.

Full-flavoured and rich with a deep mouth-coating texture, the taste is an intriguing balance between sweet, spicy and deep smoky flavours. Initially sweet as Christmas cake begins to soak into the tongue. A burst of winter spices sets off a smoky-spicy explosion countered by a sumptuous mid-palate of honey glazed smoked food and chewy treacle.

The complex nose boasts fresh herbs, hints of vanilla, pear, fresh cracked black pepper, honey glazed ham, Turkish coffee and pine notes. It is rich on the palate with lots of chocolate, tar smoked back and eucalyptus. The finish is long with hints of cocoa, fudge and savoury meats.

The palate is smooth and sweet with hints of tangerine and lime.

An explosion of smoke, like a campfire built with Highland peat (but no medicinal Island notes). Overlaid with oak notes and deep toffee. The Glenmorangie 14 Year Old Port Cask Finish has been matured in American White Oak ex-Bourbon barrels before being extra matured in specially selected Ruby port pipes from the Quintas, or wine estates, of Portugal. Extra maturation is a wood finishing technique pioneered at the Glenmorangie distillery. Wood finishing in these port pipes develops Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban into a voluptuous spirit with a complex balance of sweet and dry flavours.

Matured predominantly in European and American sherry seasoned oak casks, this amber spirit has a light, briny vanilla scent and a silky feel. A veil of smoke rises through the Scotch (but fades out fast), leaving behind a sweet nutty, vanilla finish.

A little spiced rum opens up the nose with gorgeous hints of date and walnut cake, a little honeyed oiliness, a dusting of cocoa and lush crystallized ginger. Wonderfully rounded and flavoursome.

Matured in a combination of Bourbon barrels and Portuguese Port pipes. Aromas of honeydew melon, red berries and baked apples. Rich toffee, butterscotch. Sweet honey and bitter dark chocolate. On the palate fruits and nuts. Fresh peaches, apricots, mango and plum. Gentle hints of mixed walnut and pecan. The finish is smooth fruit salad which lingers on the palate.
