Catena Chardonnay combines the unique expressions of three high altitude vineyard sites. Shows an intense greenish colour with yellow notes. Color is yellow with golden reflects. In the nose, the smell of almonds and butter pairs very well with elegance with white fruits and citrus notes. The finish is long and mineral. Aging has occurred on the lees.

The 100% Chardonnay grapes were hand-sorted and whole bunch pressed. The wine was 100% stainless steel tank fermented and did not undergo malolactic conversion. The wine underwent weekly lees stirring for three weeks post ferment. The wine was not exposed to oak treatment. No fining. Subtle pineapple and lemon greet the nose; on the palate apple, citrus, lime and peach notes.

The grapes for our Chardonnay Estate come from our vineyards in the Casablanca Valley. Greenish-yellow in colour, our Estate Chardonnay displays all of the intensity of the fruit obtained this year. Notes of pineapple, papaya, passion fruit, and quince predominate over a layer of citrus and lemon blooms, all wrapped in a layer of light toast that adds complexity.
