First produced in Maryland in the 1890s, Pikesville Rye, along with the rest of the once-booming Maryland Rye industry, was shuttered by Prohibition. The brand re-emerged after Prohibition and became the last standing Maryland Rye, as the rest of the industry's production had ceased. The taste is dry and spicy, with honeyed rye and cloves. Three Swallow is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley, then triple distilled in traditional copper pot stills. Matured in mainly 2nd and 3rd fill American oak casks. Pot Still spice combines with crisp barley character. Delicate herbs give way to green banana and grapefruit while a nutty note of marzipan reflects the wood contribution of specially selected casks. An initial taste delivers smooth mouth-coating barley followed by an eruption of green apple and citrus notes. Herbs and spicy flavours are complemented by a touch of cedar wood for extra complexity.

With a rye content of 95%, well past the 51% required for the category, we’ve recreated the classic American whiskey that ruled our glasses before Prohibition. Aromas and flavours include citrus, toasted oakn a bit of spice and mint.

Our bourbon has a rye content of 21%, giving it a light but distinct hint of spice. Additional aromas and flavours include: caramel, spice, over-ripe banana and cracked black pepper.

An ode to the great outdoors, Tincup is a blend of two great American whiskeys, "high rye" bourbon is blended with a small amount of Colorado single malt whiskey and cut with rocky mountain water. Five sources of flavour have been customized for this craft bourbon. The first includes mineral rich iron-free water. The second ingredient is a unique grain recipe including corn, malted barley and rye which gives it its feisty spice character. The third is our unique cypress fermenters, the fourth is we distill in our customized copper pot stills, and lastly we mature in our own white oak barrels.
