This 5th generation family estate rum is sustainably produced (carbon neutral), Fair Trade certified and is naturally aged without artificial ingredients. 7 years of aging achieved a mahogany colour, aromas of honey and caramel and flavours of banana, caramel and a hint of wood smoke.

The reserve No 5 has aromas of caramel, burnt sugar, vanilla and orange zest. On the palate balanced flavours of tropical fruit, toasted nuts, spice, oak and vanilla.

Rich, golden colour with green edges. Aromatic with notes of freshly cut grass and green apple. On the palate, there are hints of citrus fruits, green apple, passion fruit along with a luscious lemongrass finish.

Deep purple colour with aromas of red fruits, chocolate and coffee beans. Red and black cherry flavours with scents of flowers. Nice French oak on the finish, very complex and yet balanced.

Deep red with hints of purple. A complex bouquet of ripe blackberries and nuances of black pepper. Smooth and velvety, its finish is complex, with notes of coffee, vanilla and toast. Ideal with lean cuts of red meat and pork, dishes with pepper and onion based sauces, hard cheeses and chocolate desserts.

Elegant jasmine bouquet with nuances of peach and apricot. Very fresh, with a young palate, subtly fruity and floral. Harmonious and refined, with a very pleasant finish. Great with light dishes such as salads with citrus seasonings and white meats. Also pairs well with spicy food.

The vines are grown on low-vigour, stony, clay-rich soil, in a cool maritime mesoclimate. The naturally tiny yields of under 30 hl/ha and philosophy of expressing the terroir in the wines- give rise to a certain tightness, tannin line and elevated length to balance the richness and generosity of this Pinot Noir. Wonderfully high natural acidity and dense, complex, concentrated fruit flavours. Soft, “sweet” and generally shows hints of that alluring savoury “primal” character along with a dark, spicy, complex primary fruit perfume. Like 2009, another excellent vintage.

Aromas of ripe red fruits with hints of spices and violets. The palate opens with notes of plum marmalade and gives way to notes of vanilla. Round tannis leads to a ripe fruit finish.

Careful oak cask ageing gives the wine an ultimate dimension that turns it into an irresistible one. This is a characteristic Malbec varietal, a full body wine, with a complex structure, with surprising notes of red berries eucalyptus spice and black pepper. After a year in the bottle, it becomes more unctuous in character, intense and concentrated.

The wine shows a pale yellow hue, with greenish reflections. The bouquet shows off all the varietal characteristics: citrus at the start and then nuances of pineapple, mango and passion fruit. It is dry, sweet and round in the mouth, with balanced acidity and a long finish.

This is a blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from our oldest vineyards dating from the 1969 and 1937 respectively. The nose highlights the fruity character with notes of fresh cherries and walnut, in harmony with notes of soft smoked by the French oak barrel during the ageing period. In the mouth is balanced, elegant and complex.

Golden hued, with melon and spicy baked apple aromas and layered, with mineral notes enhanced by honeycomb and caramel flavours from lees contact. This wine is a great example of the harmonious balance which can be achieved between fruit and delicate oak/vanilla flavours.

Deep ruby red in appearance. A lively nose bursting with flavours of strawberries, raspberries, red peppercorns with a delicate oak spice. Full-bodied with dense grippy tannins and a powerful mid palate, flavours of red fruit follow with an elegant backbone. The palate is refined and elegant, ending with a long rich finish.

The nose is immediately enticing with hints of pink grapefruit, tangerine blossom, dried green fig, firm gooseberries & fleshy white nectarine. A touch of vanilla bean and cantaloupe edge through, too. The palate has an intensity befitting the nose - simultaneously salivating with salinity and freshness, lively & electric. The wine has a texture that reflects the unique Klein Constantia terroir and the finish is particularly long.

The Cabernet Sauvignon offers dark plum flavour. The Shiraz contributes savoury characters and velvety tannins. The Sangiovese offers light fruit and floral elements. This is a rich wine with great depth of flavour.

This is a big wine, bursting with red fruit aromas reminiscent of plums and blackberries. This Cabernet-Bonarda has been selected for its juicy blackcurrant fruit supported by excellent structure that the Bonarda brings to any blend. The Bonarda grapes originate from Italy, but have been successfully transported to Argentina and are in fact used by several wineries in their red wine ranges. Together with the internationally renowned Cabernet Sauvignon, the resulting blend is bursting with ripe, vibrant character - expertly made by the dedicated team at La Riojana winery. Best enjoyed with grilled rump steak, marinated lamb chops, pork chops, roast beef, casseroles and tomato based pasta dishes.
