The 2017 Chateau Mouton Rothschild Premier Cru has one of the highest percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon ever at 90%, with 9% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. The wine presents a deep and sustained colour with garnet reflections. The nose is elegant and complex with aromas of wild berries. When aired, notes of pepper, blackcurrant buds and dried flowers bring forth a generous and harmonious aromatic sensation. The attack is fresh, clean and well structured. Fresh fruit flavours are evident in the mid - palate with a dense and fleshy texture. The fine and ripe tannins cover the palate and leave a very long impression. On airing, the wine exhales scents of blackcurrant and anise, combined with notes of graphite and a subtle hint of light tobacco. On the palate, the attack is both suave and fleshy, revealing very precise tannins that accompany a powerful build-up of flavours, in a harmonious, succulent balance with mint, mineral and smoky nuances. The full, exceptionally long finish expresses all the nobility of Mouton's Cabernet Sauvignon.

On the palate, the impressive attack leads on to fleshy and crunchy fruit. This harmonious blend is kept taut by nice freshness at the end of the palate and great aromatic length.
