Bacardi 8 Year Old is aged for more than eight years in carefully selected oak barrels. After aging, it is blended to perfection from an initial blend of a selection of our best young rums. Tasting Note: Bacardi 8 Year Old is smooth, rich and very full of flavour with a complex aroma featuring notes of prune, apricot, nutmeg and vanilla over a clean, woody background of oak. Its taste is smooth, rich and very full with a long and expansive finish.

Full and round with a medium bodied weight and rich, velvety texture. Some vanilla swaying between sweet and savoury with a hint of white pepper and spice.

This single malt is expertly crafted in the crisp Canadian coldness at the Valleyfield distillery in Quebec. Hints of creamy vanilla and a smooth cinnamon spice finish.

On the nose you'll find a pleasant molasses aroma coupled with some fruit-think ripe cherries and apples. Some oak notes are also found, but in more of a supporting role. The rum is rather elegant on the palate and is neither drying or oily. It's modestly sweet and has a nice tang to it which helps to balance the flavours. The finish also shows more influence of the oak offering up a bittersweet finish.
