Bacardi 8 Year Old is aged for more than eight years in carefully selected oak barrels. After aging, it is blended to perfection from an initial blend of a selection of our best young rums. Tasting Note: Bacardi 8 Year Old is smooth, rich and very full of flavour with a complex aroma featuring notes of prune, apricot, nutmeg and vanilla over a clean, woody background of oak. This single malt is expertly crafted in the crisp Canadian coldness at the Valleyfield distillery in Quebec. Hints of creamy vanilla and a smooth cinnamon spice finish.

clean, light raspberry & juniper, On the nose. Quite smooth, off dry, with warming & pronounced raspberry & juniper, On the palate. In balance, with lighter cardamom & black pepper notes. The medium finish has some complexity, with an aftertaste of juniper & raspberry. Overall, this is a pleasant, flavoured gin with a relatively simple, balanced flavour profile.

Vinho is fully matured in used American oak wine barrels that have been toasted and re-charred in a way that brings out fruity vanilla notes from the wood into the whisky overlaid on a delicate background of complex fruitiness. It has a complex and multi-dimensional background of pepper, spice, dates and other fruits, such as ripe melon and mango together with kiwi and a delicate blend of bursting citrus fruits. A rich fusion of vanilla and caramelized sugars with dark chocolate on top. Pepper is also present in the background waiting to be noticed. This bouquet is simply a sensational feast to your olfactory organ.

The nose has aromas of mountain air, fresh bread, with a citrus undertone. The entry is smooth with vanilla and citrus palate. The finish ends with citrus and a brief hint of vanilla.
