Toasted brown with amber hues. Notes of dried fruit, cherry, vanilla and toasted oak lead to sweet ambrosia and charred oak on the palate.

Basil Hayden toast is dark amber in colour with aromas and flavours of toasted oak that are complemented by dried fruit and caramelized sugar.

This expression was created from a mash that by law had to be no lower than 51% rye; following distillation it was aged in new charred oak barrels for 10 years. The result is aromas of sweet vanilla, oak and a touch of light fruit are followed by the taste is of spice, oak, hints of caramel, tobacco and warm cinnamon.

Blade and Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey uses a unique Solera System aging process to preserve some of the distillery’s oldest whiskey stocks. Aged in new charred American white oak barrels, this bourbon has a subtle aroma of fresh fruit and a taste that includes hints of dried apricot, ripe pear and a sweet roasted grain. Created as a small batch, Larceny is sourced from at least 200 barrels which allows the master distiller to choose only those barrels that have achieved the ideal taste profile and reached peak maturity. Old Forester 1870 Original Batch was the first expression in the Old Forester Whiskey row series. Barrels have been selected from 3 warehouses, with each barrel originating from a different day of production. These barrels are batched together to craft this expression. On the aroma, clove notes lead way to citrus fruits and honeysuckle. On the palate: baking spices (clove, cinnamon and nutmeg), citrus fruit mix with a shortbread sweetness. Long finish.

Created in 1870, Old Forester is the only bourbon continuously distilled and marketed by the founding family before, during and after Prohibition. Strong floral aroma with hints of mint, rich tobacco leaf and vanilla. A touch of oak and pine unfurl on the palate which are balanced sweet corn, rye grain, spice, vanilla and orange notes. With a rye content of 95%, well past the 51% required for the category, we’ve recreated the classic American whiskey that ruled our glasses before Prohibition. Aromas and flavours include citrus, toasted oakn a bit of spice and mint.

Our bourbon has a rye content of 21%, giving it a light but distinct hint of spice. Additional aromas and flavours include: caramel, spice, over-ripe banana and cracked black pepper.

Five sources of flavour have been customized for this craft bourbon. The first includes mineral rich iron-free water. The second ingredient is a unique grain recipe including corn, malted barley and rye which gives it its feisty spice character. The third is our unique cypress fermenters, the fourth is we distill in our customized copper pot stills, and lastly we mature in our own white oak barrels.
