This expression has spent up to 18 months finishing in Caribbean rum casks. The mingling of raw, spicy and earthy rye with the mellow sweetness of rum finishing creates an incomparably smooth whiskey. Aromas of citrus, caramel candy, maple sugar, vanilla, oak, hazelnut, spice and sherry wood. On the palate: sweet rum, sherry wood, and soft oak. A sweet/dry finish.

Crafted with Jamaican limestone-filtered water, with no added flavours. This is a blend of pot and column still rums which have been aged for an average of 4 years. The first nosing passes find gentle scents of light spice and brown sugar; aeration reveals solid aromas of molasses and buttered toast. The palate entry is delicious, rich and toasty; the midpalate features elegant flavours of toasted honey-wheat bread, honey and refined sugar. The finish is more bittersweet than sweet.

Maker’s Mark boasts a golden amber colour; crème brûlée aroma; sweet vanilla and caramel flavours with a smooth spicy finish. Serve over ice. Pairs well with braised short ribs, chili, pulled pork sandwiches, and even as a marinade.
