Aromas of mellow peat and salty notes at first, then candied citrus, black liquorice, spice and dried twig. The palate shows peat, smoke, spices, fresh melon, almond and chocolate notes. The long finish shows ripe fruit, herbaceous and malty notes, coastal freshness, and earthy leather notes.

We start with corn grains and after multiple distillations we put the liquid into charred used bourbon barrels. After 20 years we have drawn and blended from our cherished reserves, we then age a further 6 months in sherry barrels and create a smooth, luxurious depth of flavour rich in oak, spices, and a light fruit sweetness.

In keeping with classic Bordeaux tradition, Pétales d’Osoyoos represents the second wine of Osoyoos Larose. Founders Keifer Sutherland, Gary Briggs, Shawn Hiscott and Rob Steele have created a masterful collaboration of rhythm and taste. A clean nose aroma with caramel, toasted cereal and a wisp of rye spice. Sadashi is a Japanese whiskey with a golden colour. The nose has a woody scent with hints of vanilla and flowers. On the palate, the fresh wooden barrel dominates with a hint of nectar, pure malt, a little citrus, oak notes, Mizunara, coffee beans. Aging occurs in in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, and then delicately finished in Mizunara oak casks. Mizunara is one of the rarest and most expensive types of oak in the world, and gives a delicate touch of spicy flavour and sandalwood to this remarkable spirit.

This whisky shows depth of whisky and the exquisite sweetness of maple. The roasted notes of the maple (burnt sugar, chicory, black coffee beans) perfectly combine with the wooden, fruity character of the whisky. The long finish has subtle notes of ginger, vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon.
