The aroma is intense, exuberant and very floral and reminiscent of the scented Rockrose surrounded by fruits of the forest such as cassis; mint and some refined, elegant, well-integrated woody notes. Fresh on the palate, with a hint of cherry. Soft and velvety, presents smooth tannins, and is very well balanced against acidity, giving the wine complexity and longevity. The after-taste is long and well-flavored.

Portal's 10 Year Old Tawny is a blend of wines aged in old casks where they acquire the amber colour and turn the young rich fruit into elegance. Dark in colour with a copper hue at the edges, this wine is very complex and full-bodied. The nose displays dark berry fruits, dark chocolate and cassis. Opaque, purple black colour with a narrow violet rim. Characteristically stylish and racy, with a nose of dense blackcurrant and woodland fruit overlaid with discreet herbal nuances and scents of violet and rose petals. As usual the classic Taylor elegance and understatement conceal the wine’s energy and vigour. On the palate it displays the lean, sinewy and tightly knit tannins which are so much a feature of the Taylor style and the vibrant and clearly delineated fruit flavours and which are the hallmark of the 2007 vintage.

Pale brick colour with broad amber rim. Mellow nose of succulent ripe berry fruit with aromas of butterscotch, figs and prunes interwoven with attractive nutty and spicy aromas. Smooth and round on the palate, full of rich strawberry jam flavours.

Inky black with purple rim. A nose of great purity opening on a vigourous note of concentrated black woodland fruit laced with raspberry and plum. A blend of 41.9% Merlot, 35.2% Cabernet Franc and 18.7% Cabernet Sauvignon, with just a touch of Zweigelt and Dornfelder. Bright garnet colour with a bouquet of currant, blue plum, cherry, wild strawberry, and subtle spice and oak. A medium-bodied, fruit-forward red wine with soft tannins for a smooth mouthfeel, and flavours of juicy red and black fruits with a touch of sweet spice. Notes of red cherry, pomegranate, sweet spice, and a touch of black tea linger on the finish.

A deep amber bronze coloured whisky. At first swirl of the glass, look for top notes of toffee, spice and grain with a touch of maple sap and sweet smoke. After adding a touch of water, added notes of orange peel, ginger, almond, cinnamon, star anise, vanilla, and tree fruit develop. The mouth-feel is smooth, rich and full, with deep notes of baked cherry, raisin, dried spice, nut and licorice root. The finish is long and lingering with a smooth texture, and flavours of spicy clove, nut and grain.
