Our classic Aalborg Taffel Akvavit has a very pure caraway bouquet which is only supported by a slight hint of orange. Its full body and aromas make it all the way around your mouth.

The distinct character of the Aberfeldy 12 is the result of uniting the Highland's finest natural resources. Created with fresh spring water from the nearby Pitilie Burn, they are truly "Scotch" Scotches, as only Scottish Optic Barley is used. Colour: Full, gold yellow. An explosion of crackling peat sets off millions of flavour explosions on the tongue: peat effervesces with tangy lemon and lime juice, black pepper pops with sizzling cinnamon-spiced toffee. This is followed by a wave of brine infused with smooth buttermilk, ripe bananas and currants. Smoke gradually wells up on the palate bringing a mouthful of warm creamy cappuccino and toasted marshmallows. As the taste lengthens and deepens, dry espresso, liquorice root and tarry smoke develop coating the palate with chewy peat oils.

A marriage of whisky aged in Sauternes wine casks together with classic Ardbeg aged in ex-bourbon casks. Smoked lemon peel, apricot and balsamic vinegar notes.

Maturation has occurred in double charred oak casks, Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and experimental BBQ casks. Notes of smoked ham, grilled artichokes, flamed steak and cinnamon dusted expresso.

Fresh, floral, herbal and tart aromas. Flavourful with hints of mixed herbs and cedar wood. Very zesty and vibrant with hints of smoked orange and grapefruit. The taste profile reveals a lively, vibrant, sharp texture leading into very firm, distinctive flavours, malty - biscuit, aniseed and cardamon. The finish is long and lingering with firm notes of mint, tar, oak and leather.

Full-flavoured and rich with a deep mouth-coating texture, the taste is an intriguing balance between sweet, spicy and deep smoky flavours. Initially sweet as Christmas cake begins to soak into the tongue. A burst of winter spices sets off a smoky-spicy explosion countered by a sumptuous mid-palate of honey glazed smoked food and chewy treacle.

The complex nose boasts fresh herbs, hints of vanilla, pear, fresh cracked black pepper, honey glazed ham, Turkish coffee and pine notes. It is rich on the palate with lots of chocolate, tar smoked back and eucalyptus. The finish is long with hints of cocoa, fudge and savoury meats.

Colour Burnished gold Nose At bottle strength the influence of the two styles of maturation casks complement each other producing a full-bodied smooth aroma. The maturity that shows through comes from the America barrels and the spicy creamy nose from the old style smaller casks. A touch of water allows the full complexity of the Highland Peated Malt to appear. The rich softness linked with smooth, slightly dry aroma is combined with just enough earthy peat smoke to avoid being overpowering. Palate At bottle strength the full rich flavours burst and fill the mouth with a creamy peat tang and a touch of vanilla’s soft gentleness. If a touch of water is added then the flavours increase with the addition of a sweet ripe fruit start followed by the tang of peat.

The palate is smooth and sweet with hints of tangerine and lime.

This 21 year old single malt is triple distilled and aged in second fill sherry casks. To the nose: ripe gooseberry, citrus peel, sweet vanilla, oak and fresh cut barley notes. Light chocolate, soft green fruit, dried citrus peel and a twist of old oak and honey greet the palate. Beautifully balanced whisky.

First fill North American oak casks are perfect for maturing Auchentoshan. Where once they held bourbon, now we trust our spirit to their care. We carefully marry these casks to create the crisp citrus nose and unmistakable smoothness of Auchentoshan American Oak.

Deep copper colour with aromas of heather honey, vanilla, cherries, lychees, floral, hint of eucalyptus, oak spices, liquorice and fresh tobacco leaves with a touch of aniseed and mint. Initial notes of lemon peel, poached peaches and vanilla giving way to indulgent tones of treacle, salted toffee, antique oak, roasted chestnuts and soft leather. On the palate there is a noticeable delicacy and softness in texture and style. The balance of flavour is superb as the smoke wraps loosely around the sweetness drawn from deep within the oak, Coconut, vanilla custard, lemon honey combines with smoked oysters and sun baked salty sand. The finish is smoky but also the soft sweetness of fudge and malted barley, orange, mango and Banoffee pie hinting of the depth and quality of the oak. The many layers interchange on each sip.

With this edition of Black Art, inspiration was taken from the groundwork done in creating the first editions of this series, where there was a relentless pursuit to layer flavour.

This single malt is malted to a stratospheric 137.3 PPM and matured in the highest quality American oak casks. Initial aromas of sweet nutty smoke, barley sugar and ripe fruit lead way to syrupy apricot, ripe peat, malty vanilla, crème brulee, honey, tablet, coconut, almonds and charred oak. On the palate, dense smoked granola and honeyed lead to smoked apricot jam, barley four, peat embers, burnt heather, gooseberry citrus and sweet Turkish delight. Oak chips, sugared almonds and chocolate limes come toward the finish.

Bright citrus, smoke and a distinct minerality come through on the palate, followed by charred oak and beach bonfire embers. Toffee and creamy vanilla are balanced with the earthy smoke, with bright notes of pear, gooseberry fool and green apple simultaneously adding brightness and depth. Roasted coffee, hints of clove and nutmeg begin to come to the fore, with a gentle hint of heather honey.

Smooth and sure, the vanilla-sweet, rich and powerful taste is soon shaped by a hint of saltiness and a soaring peppery solo that reaches its smooth crescendo in the long, spicy finish.

Following a secret recipe, the steeped ginger is combined with quality ingredients and matured for 8 weeks to release a distinctive flavour. Serve chilled with ice and lemon.
