Aging in both bourbon and sherry casks is responsible for the complex flavour profile. Aromas include: chocolate, delicate spice and dried fruits. The palate is balanced and sold with hints of caramel and wood.

Rich, golden colour with green edges. Aromatic with notes of freshly cut grass and green apple. On the palate, there are hints of citrus fruits, green apple, passion fruit along with a luscious lemongrass finish.

The vines are grown on low-vigour, stony, clay-rich soil, in a cool maritime mesoclimate. The naturally tiny yields of under 30 hl/ha and philosophy of expressing the terroir in the wines- give rise to a certain tightness, tannin line and elevated length to balance the richness and generosity of this Pinot Noir. Wonderfully high natural acidity and dense, complex, concentrated fruit flavours. Soft, “sweet” and generally shows hints of that alluring savoury “primal” character along with a dark, spicy, complex primary fruit perfume. Like 2009, another excellent vintage.

Deep ruby red in appearance. A lively nose bursting with flavours of strawberries, raspberries, red peppercorns with a delicate oak spice. Full-bodied with dense grippy tannins and a powerful mid palate, flavours of red fruit follow with an elegant backbone. The palate is refined and elegant, ending with a long rich finish.

It is robust, long-lasting and persistent in the mouth, with a drawn-out flavour providing smoky touches that give it a very special character. Deep-bodied with an aromatic complexity that fills the palate with perfect harmony between the aged notes and the smoky nuances.

Matusalem makes triple-distilled, hand-crafted, blended spirits. During the Solera method, young and older rums are blended many times in French oak barrels. Gran Reserva 23 is dark, rich, golden with brilliant red and amber tones. It evokes sweet vanilla, molasses, caramel and plums on the nose and tastes delicate, velvety smooth with hints of vanilla, molasses and caramel. Dry flavors take center-stage before slowly ebbing away for a long satisfying finish.

This red blend shows aromatic layers of fresh red fruit, cassis and pencil shavings with undertones of tobacco and dark chocolate. The palate is elegant and soft with nuances of oak and dark plums.
