The naturally tiny yields of under 30 hl/ha and philosophy of expressing the terroir in the wines- give rise to a certain tightness, tannin line and elevated length to balance the richness and generosity of this Pinot Noir. Wonderfully high natural acidity and dense, complex, concentrated fruit flavours. Soft, “sweet” and generally shows hints of that alluring savoury “primal” character along with a dark, spicy, complex primary fruit perfume. Like 2009, another excellent vintage.

This Five Oak Cask Release is matured in a combination of three different types of virgin oak (Irish, European and American), in addition to ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The finished result is a whiskey that is equal parts complex and smooth.

Golden hued, with melon and spicy baked apple aromas and layered, with mineral notes enhanced by honeycomb and caramel flavours from lees contact. This wine is a great example of the harmonious balance which can be achieved between fruit and delicate oak/vanilla flavours.

Deep ruby red in appearance. A lively nose bursting with flavours of strawberries, raspberries, red peppercorns with a delicate oak spice. The nose is immediately enticing with hints of pink grapefruit, tangerine blossom, dried green fig, firm gooseberries & fleshy white nectarine. A touch of vanilla bean and cantaloupe edge through, too. The palate has an intensity befitting the nose - simultaneously salivating with salinity and freshness, lively & electric. The wine has a texture that reflects the unique Klein Constantia terroir and the finish is particularly long.

The Cabernet Sauvignon offers dark plum flavour. The Shiraz contributes savoury characters and velvety tannins. The Sangiovese offers light fruit and floral elements. This is a rich wine with great depth of flavour.

Knappogue Castle 12 YO is an exceptional single malt made exclusively from malted barley. Triple distilled one batch at a time in traditional, onion-shaped copper pot stills, the whiskey is then aged in bourbon oak casks for twelve years. Aromas of biscuit and peppery spice. Well balanced flavours of fruit and mild spice. Smooth finish.

This stout has a deep black colour with reddish hue and pours with a thick creamy head. Rich and complex coffee aroma with light liquorice notes, the Fuggles hops leads to a tart bitterness which mingles with the roast espresso flavours on the tongue.

Aromatically a complex interplay of nutty maltiness, woodland fragrances and spice, with hints of honey and vanilla. On the palate a distinctive mellow maltiness, a touch of sweet oil, spiciness - and again those background notes of honey, vanilla, toasted wood. On the finish the sweetness gently fades, mellow maltiness and mild woody notes linger.

Three Swallow is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley, then triple distilled in traditional copper pot stills. Matured in mainly 2nd and 3rd fill American oak casks. Pot Still spice combines with crisp barley character. Delicate herbs give way to green banana and grapefruit while a nutty note of marzipan reflects the wood contribution of specially selected casks. An initial taste delivers smooth mouth-coating barley followed by an eruption of green apple and citrus notes. Herbs and spicy flavours are complemented by a touch of cedar wood for extra complexity.
