This ruby red spicy and noble red wine is the most famous Hungarian wine. It is blended of Kékfrankos, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zweigelt wines. The harmony of the component is developed by oak ageing in the cellars of Eger which are carved in tuff. Here is a straightforward Pinot Noir with a cute label. Aromas of red currents and cherries, cedar and dill with an earthy core highlighted by violets. It’s a light bodied and juicy with fresh red fruit and hints of cocoa. An enjoyable wine at a good value.

Matured in American Virgin Oak casks and then finished in ex-Bourbon casks. Aromas of liquorice, gentle beeswax, honey on crisp toast, and tender notes of vanilla. Flavours of coffee mocha, orange peel and delicate spice float on active tannins while gentle oils enjoy gifts of dark cocoa tones.

Aromas of fig, apricot and banana lead way to flavours of barley with creamy butterscotch, dry fruits and fruit cake. The finish is long and exquisite, with chocolate fudge, orange peel and exotic wine drenched nuts.

Nose: The smoky, sweet and earthy fragrances have mellow resonances of spice. Palate: As the crisp Muscovado and Demerara sugars create layered nuances, the smokiness of the Single Malt sets in, creating a perfect balance. A hint of spice radiates from the hickory and Dominican-style cocoa. Finish: The delicate finish of this Single Malt has notes of Dominican cocoa laced with the tart edge of marmalade.

Royal Tokaji's 1st growth Nyulaszo vineyard is the benchmark for quality. As in all aszu wines, the three grape varieties are Furmint, Harslevelu and Muscat de Lunel. The characteristics are a vivid gold colour with honeyed apricot and orange peel flavours which are uplifted with dramatic acidity.
