The vines are grown on low-vigour, stony, clay-rich soil, in a cool maritime mesoclimate. The naturally tiny yields of under 30 hl/ha and philosophy of expressing the terroir in the wines- give rise to a certain tightness, tannin line and elevated length to balance the richness and generosity of this Pinot Noir. Wonderfully high natural acidity and dense, complex, concentrated fruit flavours. Soft, “sweet” and generally shows hints of that alluring savoury “primal” character along with a dark, spicy, complex primary fruit perfume. Like 2009, another excellent vintage.

Deep ruby red in appearance. A lively nose bursting with flavours of strawberries, raspberries, red peppercorns with a delicate oak spice. Full-bodied with dense grippy tannins and a powerful mid palate, flavours of red fruit follow with an elegant backbone. The palate is refined and elegant, ending with a long rich finish.
