Sweet floral aromatics emerge from the Gattinara. This deceptively medium-bodied wine shows good depth in its red fruit, but at times comes across as a touch fragile and fleeting. Nevertheless, it is an attractive, representative Gattinara well-suited for drinking over the next few years. Anticipated maturity 2012-2018.

Tuli Pinot Noir is aged for eight to nine months in French oak barrels. Dark scarlet red in colour with Bing cherry and blackberry pie aromas that support lively flavours of dark berry fruit, vanilla, anise and dried herbs. The lingering finish is smooth and velvety.

The early floral yet biscuit flavour reflects the grain whiskey, while the soft spicy notes can be attributed to the pot still whiskey in the blend. The citrus flavour is contributed by the malt. Finally notice the nutty or even marzipan note combined with distinctive vanilla in the finish imparted by the sherry and bourbon casks used in maturation.

The Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Cask Finish Highland Single Malt has hints of red summer fruit, chocolate and a sweet spice on the finish from the Chateau de Chassagne-Montrachet barriques.

The Cabernet Franc grapes were grown in the Curico Valley. A fairly deeply coloured, purple wine. A nose dense and rich with sweet fruit, with some notes of blackcurrant leaf and other greenery, very much suggesting Cabernet Franc. Unsurprisingly sweet, black fruit gum flavour on the palate, with a green, tobacco edge. Soft tannins, soft acidity and some glycerol. A sweet and spicy finish.

The Carmenere grapes have been grown in the Peumos soils of the Cachapoal Valley. Exuberant deep dark red violet. Intense and complex aromas, some ripe dark berries, blackcurrant, plums, black pepper with hints of sweet spices. Soft tannins with a firm structure. Elegant subtle spices from the maturation in oak barrels are present.

No fewer than 50 individual wines make up this cuvée. The traditional proportions for Demi Sec are: 40 to 45% Pinot Noir, 30 to 35% Meunier, 20 to 25 % Chardonnay. Demi Sec shows rich praline and hints of toast.

2/3 Pinot Noir, 1/3 Chardonnay, sourced from the most invaluable vineyards purchased by Madame Clicquot, harvested by hand, pressed and vinified cru by cru, vineyard by vineyard. Vintage Brut 2012 is Veuve Clicquot’s 66th vintage champagne release, it is a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes The uniqueness of the Vintage 2012 lies in the addition of 11% of wines aged in large wooden casks (foudres), bringing strength and aromatic intensity. The cask-aged wines act as spices to the blend, bringing very lightly woody, vanilla and toasted aromas.

Yellow Label is the signature of Veuve Clicquot’s quality and style. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes from as many as 50 to 60 different Crus(vineyards) go to the blending of Yellow Label. This golden-yellow wine is immediately pleasing to the nose while its complexity explodes on the palate. This Chianti Classico has a clear, dark, ruby colour; full complex bouquet with strong notes of red fruits, irises, and hints of vanilla. The flavour is full generous, warm and savoury with an elegant aftertaste of woodland undergrowth and toasted almonds. It can be kept longer than usual, and improves with time.

Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva is a blend of Sangiovese together with other complementary varieties produced as a tribute to Antinori's historic label that has accompanied the family's winemaking traditions over the years. Silky and aromatic, dark red cherry, spice, menthol and leather build into the gracious, persistent finish.

Colour: intense ruby red. Aroma: intense and complex with notes of spices, mint, and chocolate, which are particularly felt along with light aromas of rip cherries. On the palate the wine, savoury and long, is full-bodied and round with supple and velvety tannins.
