Warm raisin bread and baking spices surround notes of smoky barley on the nose. The Palate is powerful yet delicate. The silky texture gives way to baking spices and juicy grapes. Rich and balanced, with a hint of peat. The finish is long, very long. The subtle peat amplifies the soft tannins of the extra old cognac casks.

Buttery pastries and brioche develop into aromas of toasted malts and sweet baking spices. The Palate is structured with a full body. Brioche quickly transitions into grassy notes. A slight woodiness balanced perfectly with vanilla and nutmeg. Refined and well-rounded. The finish is sophisticated and subtle. The soft spices and nutty malts balance beautifully leading to slightly sweet notes from the extra old cognac casks.

Heavy, thickly oaked and complex with smoke on the nose turns into warming, full blown peat and then followed by a sherry trifle note. The flavours develop into a really intense chocolate fudge that resonates through the palate.

Light and zesty with a hint of spice, warming up to what can only be described as 'stick to your teeth' toffee. A long and lingering finish leaving you ready for the next sip.

Fresh, floral, herbal and tart aromas. Flavourful with hints of mixed herbs and cedar wood. Very zesty and vibrant with hints of smoked orange and grapefruit. The taste profile reveals a lively, vibrant, sharp texture leading into very firm, distinctive flavours, malty - biscuit, aniseed and cardamon. The finish is long and lingering with firm notes of mint, tar, oak and leather.

Bacardi Caribbean Spiced takes its natural sweetness from coconut blossom, pineapple, cinnamon and vanilla, and the subtle oaky char from the barrel.

The 30 year old is a superb blend from Ballantine's. Complex balance of aromas and flavours include: honey, floral, pear, peach and vanilla oakiness.

Hints of custard cream, spice and zesty lime nose; while the palate is creamy with balanced fruits.

With our Pinot Grigio Chardonnay, our winemaker experimented with 11 different blends before the ultimate one was achieved. This smooth, refreshingly crisp wine, bearing strong fruit notes of pear and peach, embodies the mystique of the Black Cellar.

With our Malbec Merlot, our winemaker explored 13 blends before arriving on this smooth, medium bodied wine and aromas of dark red berries and cherry. The combination of the dark skinned Malbec and the juicy Merlot grape creates a luscious blend that embodies the mystique of the Black Cellar.

With our Shiraz Cabernet, our winemaker explored 19 different blends until the ultimate one was achieved. The result is a smooth, full-flavoured wine with an abundance of sweet cherry, blueberry and spice aromas and flavours that embody the mystique of the Black Cellar.

Aromas of raspberry and cherry, dry and medium bodied. flavours of dark cherry, earth, spice, and oak with a medium acidity that brightens the fruit character followed by a medium, fruity finish.

Aromas of blackberry burst with vibrancy on the palate, enhanced with decadent flavours of mocha and hints of vanilla for a silky, smooth finish.

To the eye a burished chestnut colour. On the nose, notes of Freesia, dried geranium and lilies merge with the aromas of citrus fruits, followed by the sweeter notes of acacia honey, apple pie, vanilla pods and cream. The complex palate iniatially starts dry with floral notes, like carnations then developing into sweeter notes of lemon merigue, grilled almonds and light crème caramel fudge with a hint of pepper, nutmeg, oak and light coconut. The finish is long with subtle floral notes and malty flavours.

Deep copper colour with aromas of heather honey, vanilla, cherries, lychees, floral, hint of eucalyptus, oak spices, liquorice and fresh tobacco leaves with a touch of aniseed and mint. On the palate: malty spice, notes of vanilla fudge, golden syrup, butterscotch, thyme, white pepper, woody notes of dry oak, hazelnut, demerara sugar and maple syrup and dates. The finish is sweet and woody with notes of liquorice sticks deliver a spicy mouth feel and a touch of peat smoke.

Initial notes of lemon peel, poached peaches and vanilla giving way to indulgent tones of treacle, salted toffee, antique oak, roasted chestnuts and soft leather. Rich palate with hints of cocoa beans intermingled with sundried raisins, Muscovado sugar, red berries and an elegant layer of peat smoke. Long and sweet finish with lingering oak spices and sea salt.

Aromas of sherry-soaked raisins, cocoa, orange marmalade, Christmas spices, cherry blossom, maraschino cherries and liquorice. On the palate warm pear, fruitcake, cocoa, and a sprinkling of sea salt.

Bright, gold colour. On the nose, the zest of sun - ripened fruits drizzled by the sea. On the palate, salted honeycomb with zingy spiced cocoa and the tang of blood orange.

Brennivin is a caraway flavoured aquavit (un-sweetened schnapps) and is the countries signature spirit. Introduced in 1935, Brennivin is made from the extraordinarily pure Icelandic water imparting it with deliciously sweet taste and a soft finish. Have no doubts however this is an aquavit, and Brennivin has the right level of intensity with notes of caraway seeds. Best enjoyed on its own ice cold or use its unique taste to experiment with cocktails.

With this edition of Black Art, inspiration was taken from the groundwork done in creating the first editions of this series, where there was a relentless pursuit to layer flavour.

Aged 29 years. Orange barley sugars, ginger nut biscuits and lemon meringue pie are followed by sweet apricot jam and marzipan. The toasted oak brings smooth chocolate and vanilla notes. Beautifully complemented with syrupy fruit, raisins, plum and melon. Over time, iodine and a hint of coconut come through, with a delicate oak spices of warming ginger and cinnamon. A velvet texture, the depth and balance of this single malt glides across the palate.

The oak cradles the soft fruit of distillation with a perfect balance and harmony. The delicate sweetness and luscious texture are like velvet on the palate. The balance of those sweet ripe stoned fruit flavours with the vanilla, caramel and brown sugar notes of the oak is perfect, this vintage of Islay barley is bottled at just the right moment to capture the DNA of our island and the whisky we distil on its shores. Add a touch of water and watch as the natural oils react in the glass releasing wonderful floral notes of hawthorn and heather.

The barley harvest for this 2013 vintage was raised on Islay by seven Islay farming partners. This single malt has matured in ex-American and ex-wine casks hailing from the Pessac-Léognan region of France. The first taste is a wondrous thing; all at once, the salinity, the fruit, the light peat smoke, and the sweet oak show their presence in a whirl of complexity to entice you. The aging from carefully selected oak allows a subtle almond note to combine with coconut, caramel, vanilla, and muscovado sugar. The peat smoke in this whisky is as beautifully balanced as ever, weaving through the components, highlighting them but not dominating. A dram that is gentle on the palate yet has a tremendous depth of flavour.

This Islay whisky shows initial aromas of sweet pear drops, vanilla fudge, chocolate and marzipan, on the palate the oak and malt notes overlap each other with toasted rye bread, buttery popcorn, fresh oak, vanilla fudge and smooth caramel. The organic barley seems to give more fruit from the distillation and more viscous texture which is a joy to the olfactory senses.

Delightfully crisp and dry. This wine is ideal when paired with seafood and poultry, or simply on its own.

Distilled from wine made from neutral Pisco grapes. It is double distilled, triple filtered, and stored in stainless steel tanks. Slightly sweet with a bit grassiness.

Golden colour. Double distilled, aged in small oak casks, this Calvados offers an harmonious nose mixing baked apples, almond and spice hints. The mouth is supple, soft and well developed. Fruity at first, it evolves towards vanilla and woodier notes.

Comte de Grasse has created an entirely new style of vodka-rosé using an 'innovative' flavour extraction technique. A new process, called active wine extraction (AWX), combines the flavours of rosé wine with vodka. The nose is all elegant and concentrated freshness with light wafts of strawberries. The palate is a discovery of delicate floral notes with white peaches and a soft fruity finish. Natural flavour extraction with no additives or artificial flavours.

Lemon yellow colour with aromas of ripple apple, pear pineapple and a touch of floral. Copper Moon Chardonnay is a soft, medium-bodied wine with flavours of ripe stone fruit and just a touch of citrus on the finish to refresh.

Copper Moon Malbec has a smooth medium body with a complex flavour profile encompassing dark red berries, cherry and black currant. Light oak notes and a bit of spice linger on the finish. Pairs with steak, ribs and other richly flavoured foods.

Pale lemon yellow colour with beautiful aromas of citrus, green apple and ripe pear. Copper Moon Pinot Grigio is light bodied wine with refreshing flavours of citrus and melon. Slight floral notes linger on through the finish. Pairs well with fresh shellfish and pan-seared halibut.

Pale yellow colour with a fresh aroma of green apple, citrus, grass and gooseberry. Copper Moon Sauvignon Blanc is a light bodied wine with refreshing flavours of apple, peach and citrus, which also lingers on the finish. Pairs well with grilled pork, chicken with herbs and mixed salads.

Garnet to light purple colour with a bouquet of plum, black cherry and licorice. Copper Moon Shiraz is a smooth, medium-bodied wine with juicy flavours of plum and cherry. A medley of ripe berries and a touch of sweet spice linger on the finish. Pairs well with chili, spicy sausage and hearty winter stews.

This wine is an approachable, food friendly red. Notes of red berry and cherry on the nose stay consistent through the taste profile. This is a medium bodied red, with good acidity to pair with a wide range of foods.

The Selección de Familia has been aged in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. First creamy, then juicy plum set against a backdrop of coconut. Cooked oak spice and brandy ripple across the palate, chased down by rounded pepper and bold toffee sweetness. Smooth, with thick notes of demerara sugar. Well-rounded, long finish with a hint of pipe tobacco on the tail.

A medium-bodied wine with aromas of ripe red berries and flavours of strawberries and cherries. Serve with pizzas, light pastas and grilled red meats.
