Copper in colour, this bourbon has a deeply mellow, richly flavourful, medium-bodied taste with a delicious caramel aroma full of fruit and vanilla.

Blackened Whisky started as a collaboration between Master Distiller Dave Pickerell and Metallica, but when Dave passed away in 2018, Master Distiller Rob Dietrich joined the team in 2019 and now oversees the Blackened American Whiskey distilling process. A blend of hand-selected, well-aged North American bourbon & rye whiskeys, uniquely finished in black brandy casks and the earth-shattering music of Metallica. Each batch of whiskey is blasted with it's very own Metallica playlist, curated by the band themselves. Burnt caramel, oak and honey on the nose along with notes of cinnamon, allspice, dark fruit, clove and mint. The finish is long and smooth with a taste profile that is slightly creamy with hints of butterscotch, toffee and maple.

This deep amber whiskey has a complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses. Pleasantly sweet to the taste with notes of brown sugar and spice that give way to oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise. This whiskey finishes long and smooth with serious depth.

With honey and amber glowing from a tall, slender bottle, this whisky is a delight to the eye. The nose is grainy and light, with a nice blend of fruit and spice balanced by a slight earthiness. On the palate, honey and brown sugar sweetness is prominent, with dark fruits (plums, cherries) underneath. Mouthfeel is very oily, having a viscous feel on the tongue. A hint of vanilla and molasses appears on the finish, which is quick to fade. All in all, this whisky is smooth and well-balanced.

Nose: Aromatic, toffee, fruit salad, lush nectarine, custard. Floral, apple blossom, honeysuckle. Apple peels, pear, touch of smoke. Palate: Malty. Forty Creek Confederation Oak is the colour of old gold and is a very full bodied whisky. To the nose it is a big whisky with constantly evolving aromas and flavours. Beginning with a maple-raisin-vanilla-fig, layers of praline, banana, butter cream, honeyed nuts, marzipan, spice and orange blossoms. As it lingers, dark dried fruits and anise evolve. On the palate it has a very rich entry; soft, round and dry. Full bodied with vanilla, butter cream and pepper spice which is nicely framed with oak, walnut and smoke. An exceptional finish that has great depth. A long lingering finish with fading spice and white pepper. Excellent balance and vibrant flavour. A whisky to sip and cherish.

Deep copper amber colour. Bold aromas of toffee, nuts and spice. Full bodied with rich brown spice notes and hints of marmalade.

Patient extra aging takes place in white oak barrels, and careful selection of whisky stocks. Copper pot is bottled at 43% alc./vol. to complement the depth of flavours in this bold whisky.

The taste is balanced between honey, malt and flowery scents. Dates and figs emerge in the background with a hint of wood smoke. The finish is long and enticing with the sweetness of dried fruit and subtle dryness of Oloroso nuttiness.

Rich mahogany in colour with layers of heather honey, cinnamon, butterscotch and sticky raisins on the nose. Notes of mocha linger in the background lead into bursts of orange zest, heather honey and damson on the pallet. Lashings of mocha, dark chocolate, cinnamon, figs and dates persist in the lengthy finish.

Five sources of flavour have been customized for this craft bourbon. The first includes mineral rich iron-free water. The second ingredient is a unique grain recipe including corn, malted barley and rye which gives it its feisty spice character. The third is our unique cypress fermenters, the fourth is we distill in our customized copper pot stills, and lastly we mature in our own white oak barrels.
